History: In 1995, a serendipitous meeting between two small family farmers sparked the beginning of The Woodland Farmer's Market. Rural Woodland residents Sonia and Daniel Mora had been looking for a local outlet for the beautiful produce from their farm when they met Ed and Janet Eckhoff who were looking for something similar. Both couples had seen farmers markets in surrounding cities and noticed that Woodland didn't have one of its own.So in 1996, the Moras and the Eckhoffs began offering a weekly summer season farmer's market where Woodland residents could have easy access to fresh local produce. And for the past 14 years, The Woodland Farmer's Market has been offering quality goods at reasonable prices in a fun, festive atmostphere. "I love talking to people at the market" says co-founder Sonia Mora, "We often share recipes and it's wonderful to hear how much someone liked something as they come back week after week!"
